Normal Cake, Please - St. Paul’s Church

HELSINKI

Open borders are closing, liberal lifestyles are out of fashion and the 50-somethings are getting married. We welcome the audience to take part in an unusual wedding in three Baltic countries when the flamboyant Leo, structure seeking Viesturs and age denying Angela reunite. Leo is about to marry Jack and the plans are going off the rail.

Queering up Normality and normalising Queer. Angela is under extra pressure to arrange the wedding in Denmark at the Carmelite Priory - and it goes terribly wrong. Old and new performers made the show embrace this religious space packed with traditions - and gave audiences a new experience of love, the priory and cake!

The final destination of Normal Cake, Please will take place in Riga in the Autumn of 2022 at the Anglican church in the capital.

This is tongue in cheek portrayal of a generation on the brink of disaster that insists on preserving normality at all costs.
